Born Oct. 2, 1865, Sandnes, Norway. Married STINA AKERHOLT, Sept. 24, 1869, Hoff, Died Sept. 26, 1916, Ladysmith, Wis. 1958.

Mr. and Mrs. Schiotz immigrated to Chicago, where they were members of Bethlehem Congregation under the ministry of Dr. J.N.Kildahl.

Because of a desire to farm, Jacob Schiotz moved his family to northern Wis. in 1908.


Children: Ingrid (b. 1900; m. R.J.Clark), Dr. Fredrik A. (b. 1901), President of American Lutheran Church; Harold (b. 1904), Supt. of Schools, Ladysmith, Wis.; Eiler (b. 1909), teacher of chemistry and football coach at the high school in Bishop, Calif.
