Born May 30, 1885, Kristiansand, Norway, to Nils (1854-85) and Anna Elizabeth (1853-1932) Olsen.
Grandfather; Ole Johnsen. Grandmother; Anna Stiansdatter.

Immigrated in 1906. Married Anna Hytmo, Sept. 1, 1921, Fir-Conway, Wash. Died May 31, 1959, Casper, Wyo.
At age 15 he became deck boy on bark "Olivia" and traveled around the world in two years. He attended technical school and served a four-year apprenticeship as cabinet maker. In America he had a construction business, the Rognstad-Olsen firm, Casper, Wyo. He was devoted to the church.

Brothers and sisters: Anna (1878-1952, m. Brunvand); Ole Johan (1880-88); Ellen (1883-1954, m. Kjøstvedt).

Honored by his widow and children: Evelyn Margit (b. 1922, m. Rev. Griffith Williams, Great Falls, Mont.); Robert, Casper, Wyo.; Arthur, Sioux Falls, S.D.; Harold, Wash., D.C.
