Lars O. Ness: Born Jan. 3, 1859, Floring, Norway to Ole Larson (1825-1877) and his wife Marit (1828-1915)
His father was killed by a falling tree while he worked in the woods near his home.  Married Dorthea Moslet, 1878, and then the two, with his mother Marit immigrated and lived a while with an uncle, Ingebright Larson near Ada, Minn., They then procured a farm of their own, which a grandson, Lloyd Ness, now (1963) operates. Their two children preceded them in death. Ten grandchildren, of whom six are living
(1965); 30 great grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren.

Lars was a charter member of the St. Petri Lutheran church, west of Ada, Minn.
