MYKLEBUST, KNUTE myklebust_knute_smBorn Sept. 26, 1882, Uskedal., Søndhordland, Norway, to Tormod and Synneve Myklebust.
Immigrated in 1903. Married Karen Rolten (from Revne, Trondheim) in 1905 at Beresford, S.D.
He entered mercantile business at Moscow, Idaho. In 1912 he opened the Myklebust Dept. Store, in Rosalie, Wash... and soon held a chain of stores.
Two sons continued to operate the store at Longview, Wash. For over 50 years he never missed Sunday School without good cause;
He was Sunday School Supt. for 21 years, and continued to teach to age 78 (as of 1960) "Their home has always been a center for God's work and His people."
