Born July 2, 1899, Volin, S.D. to Knut o. and Ida (Bjerke) Lokken.  Graduated from Red Wing Seminary (a school of the Hauge Synod) 1917.  Married to Anna C. Peterson, June 2, 1920, Irene, S.D.

Engaged in banking, merchandising, and personnel work. In 1950 he became business manager and director of Christian Education at Bethel Lutheran Church, Madison, Wis. Moved to Sioux Falls, S.D., 1954 where he was engaged in business, and in 1955 became business manager of Augustana College.
In Dec. 1957 he was named vice president, as well as the head of the newly-created office of development. He was at one time a member of the board of directors of Luther College, Decorah, Ia.,
 and of Deaconess Hospital, Chicago.  Died Jan.27,1958, Sioux Falls, S.D. Interment at Hills of Rest Memorial Park.

Children; Tom, Sioux Falls, Mrs. M.J. Hay, Madison, Wis.
Sisters: Myrtle (Married to Dr. Oscar C. Hanson the first pastor of American Lutheran Church of Oslo);
Mrs. Oscar Branstad, Forest City, Ia.;
Mrs. John Basara (d. Feb. 16, 1961), Williamstown, N.J.
Brother: Chester, Sioux Falls.
